HA Sketch dump

IT'S kinda a big file I'm really sorry :C

But! I was cleaning out some stuff (no really!) and I found a few old sketchbooks with some doodles! 
I didn't think I had enough of these two to do a whole dump for it, but I uh....

I kinda did...

Anyway! I thought it would be fun to look at some older character designs and weird ass things I had in mind for some reason! 8D

I'll draw other characters next time I TOTALLY PROMISE!!!

TEXT WALL:

When I first designed Haar way way back I actually designed him to be a Halloween student who would accidentally wander into the wrong classrooms everyday (and therefore fail and be held back like....thirty years... haha.) Eventually Robin would have come along and set him right (probably!) However upon hearing about the contest Holly suggested I bumped him up a few years and I'm really glad I did!!! 8D

I guess he still acts the same though...xD
When I decided to make him a teacher I was like "Awe shoot now he has to be serious" so his first designs were like... a veteran chain smoker, and when he smoked a magical pipe ghosts came out and did his bidding! I liked the concept but I think HA is a smoke free zone. Nicotine patches didn't cut it, buddy!!

Plus the eye patch kinda weirded me out.

Then he kinda became like, apathetic and sad? That didn't really do it for me though 'cause Halloween really should be fun, it IS a dark, really creepy holiday but kids make it fun, right? I guess that's how the kid mentality came back.

But then again, we couldn't just let loose a fire starting bug eating child, so I gave him some ~issues~. 
They're kinda secret for now 'cause I want to take some time to further develop Haar, but I will share that he is secretly super disgusted how he's rotting. Self image is really important to him  And all that self confidence is secretly a sham BUT DON'T TELL HIM THAT...

As for Robin! I really knew exactly what I wanted from the get go!! Kinda of a goody two shoes Christmas kid who has a shitton of potential but just can't really get the hang of anything. When I was a kid I would go to my grandmother's for Christmas (hence why she lives with her grand-folks) and I had a TON of cousins I would try to out-do and fail miserably (that's why she has so many siblings).

I wanted a lot of irony behind Robin; she practically lives to be a leader but has zero traits possessed/cherished by elves (or half elves). She can't sing, can't make toys, can't cook, and can hardllyyy do any magic. She has eleven siblings to represent the 12 days of Christmas; I named her after robins because they behave opposite of partridges. Plus, the coloring of each bird is opposite too!

Honestly for both I really just used my own experiences about said holidays and made them into people!

Tldr; Haar is kinda emo and Robin sucks at everything but it's okay because they can dance (?)

I'm really tired I hope this whole thing made sense

I don't really know where all this came from but I was just like, really inspired to write something, you know?
